Abstract:
Surgery is the important measure of curing diseases and saving lives, must be developed in hospitals of both western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine to attach patient-centered goal and help patients who need surgical treatment. Modern surgery is necessarily based on precise diagnosis and treatment theory and technology of modern western medicine and could not be well supported by the related conditions of traditional Chinese medicine. In the new medical era, optimal efficacy remains the most important target and application of traditional Chinese medicine during perioperative period tends to produce unique and powerful effect on better surgical outcomes. Specifically, its function range involves anesthesia, diet, nutrition, stress, metabolism、nursing and complications before, during and after surgery. The research contents include quantities of aspects such as external therapies、products and promotion of TCM. As an emerging spectrum of both Chinese medicine and integrative medicine, appling traditional Chinese medicine in perioperative period has broad application and research prospect.
