Effect of TCM Nursing Intervention Combined with Health Education on the Quality of Life and Complications of Patients with Acute Pancreatitis

Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of TCM nursing intervention combined with health education on the quality of life and complications of patients with acute pancreatitis. Methods Eighty-eight patients with acute pancreatitis treated in our hospital from January 2018 to November 2019 were selected and divided into two groups according to different intervention methods. The control group was only applied health education and the research group was combined health education and TCM nursing. The quality of life indicators were evaluated and compared before and after intervention in the two groups. The incidence of related complications was compared between the two groups. The quality of care was evaluated and compared between the two groups. Results After the intervention, the scores of related quality of life indicators in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group (all P <0.05). The incidence of related complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group (all P <0.05). The levels of quantified nursing quality dimensions in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusion Compared with health education alone, the use of health education and TCM nursing intervention in patients with acute pancreatitis can significantly improve the related quality of life index scores, reduce the incidence of complications and improve the quality of clinical care.
