Abstract:
Objective To observe the efficacy of different doses of the radix bupleuri and radix paeoniae alba drug pair on patients with colorectal cancer surgery. Methods Postoperative patients with colorectal cancer were randomly divided into four groups: low-medium and high-dose drug pair groups and control group (CP),which 27 patients per group, Patients in the CP received montmorillonite powder orally. The low-medium-highdose group were given different proportions of bupleuri and paeoniae alba compatibility (6 g: 10 g; 10 g: 15 g; 15 g: 20 g) based on Chaishao Jieyu Decoction. The levels of serum serotonin (5-HT), dopamine (DA), Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) and diarrhea symptoms were compared before and after treatment. Results The 5-HT and DA levels in patients after treatment in the low-medium-high-dose group are higher than those of the pre-treatment level (t 5-HT =8.856, 9.218, 11.265. P<0.05; tDA =7.138, 9.281, 13.312. P<0.05). After treatment, the HAMD scores of the patients in the high-dose group was significantly lower than that in the pre-treatment (t=5.218, 13.256; P<0.05) and the improvement of diarrhea in the high-dose group was higher than that in the CP (χ2 =18.79, P<0.05). Conclusion The improvement of depression and diarrhea symptoms of postoperative patients with colorectal cancer increased with the increase of the dose of bupleuri and paeoniae alba. The dose changing of the drug pair played an important role in the treatment effect of patients.
