Abstract:
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of huayu paishi decoction on patients with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy and analyze its effect on renal function and inflammatory factors. Methods 80 patients with upper urinary calculi treated by extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy in our hospital from January 2018 to December 2019 were selected. They were randomly divided into control group (n=40, basic anti-inflammatory treatment) and study group (n=40, huayu paishi decoction + basic anti-inflammatory treatment) according to the number table method. The clinical efficacy, renal function index, serum inflammatory factors and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score were compared between the two groups. The differences of complications related to stone removal were compared between the two groups. Results The total clinical effective rate of the study group was 87.50 % (35/40), which was higher than 62.50 % (25/40) of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of urinary microalbumin (mALB), β2-microglobulin (β2-MG), retinol binding protein (RBP), serum creatinine (SCR), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), tumor necrosis factor -α (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the two groups were all decreased, and the above indexes in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the syndrome scores of frequent urination, low back pain, low abdomen and acute fullness, hematuria and dripping discomfort of the study group were all lower than those of the control group. The incidence of complications related to stone removal of the study group was lower than that of the control group (χ2 =5.541, P=0.019). Conclusion Huayu paishi decoction can be used for the treatment of upper urinary calculi treated by extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, which has a better clinical effect. It can adjust the expression levels of renal function indexes, such as mALB, β2-MG and RBP. Also, it can reduce the inflammatory response and the complications related to stone removal. It is safe and can be used for reference in clinical treatment.
