Abstract:
Objective To observe the effect of changshu decoction retention enema on the pathological changes of diversion colitis after terminal ileostomy. Methods A total of 60 patients who underwent anal preservation surgery for obstructive colon cancer or rectal cancer in our department from December 2015 to June 2018. They underwent primary tumor resection and anastomosis anddouble-cavity prophylactic terminal ileostomy, who were randomly divided into control group and observation group. 30 patients in the control group received retrograde enema treatment with warm normal saline through anal intubation and 30 patients in the observation group received retention enema treatment with changshu decoction with the same method. The treatment lasted for 2 weeks, once a day and 1 time of electronic colonoscopy before and after enema treatment. Check for mucosal changes throughout the whole colon. Results After 2 weeks of enema, the effective rate ofmucosal erythema swelling in the colony of the control group was 26.67%and that in the observation group was 70.00%. The effective rate of inflammatory follicular hyperplasia in the control group was 20.00% and that in the observation group was 47.82%. The effective rate of ulcer erosion in the group was5.56% and that in the observation group was 45.00%.The effective rate of erythema swelling and follicular hyperplasia in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in inflammatory polyp and ulcer erosion between the two groups. Conclusion Changshu Decoction retention enema can repair the injury of the colonic intestinal mucosa and promote the recovery of intestinal mucosa.
