Abstract:
Objective To explore the application effects of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) nursing in the treatment of severe cervical spondylosis of spinal cord. Methods From May 2014 to May 2018 in our hospital, 74 patients with severe cervical spondylosis myelopathy (SCSM) were selected. All the patients were equally divided into observation group and control group based on the random number table method. The patients in control group were given routine nursing, the patients in observation group were given TCM based on the control group that mainly included cervical traction and massage, physiotherapy, and the nursing time in the two groups was 14 days. Results The total effective rates of the observation group and control group were 97.3% and 81.1%, the total effective rate of the observation group was signi.cantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The JOA scores in the observation group and control group after nursing were (21.42±3.19) and (18.20±4.09), which were signi.cantly higher than those before nursing [(8.99±2.19) and (8.72±1.89)] (P<0.05), and the JOA score in observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence rate of urinary tract infection, wound .uid, stress ulcer, pulmonary infection, cerebrospinal .uid leakage and other complications in the observation group was 10.8%, while that in the control group was 40.5%, and the incidence rate in observation group was significantly less than that in the control group (P<0.05). The serum levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in the two groups were signi.cantly lower than those before nursing (P<0.05), and the serum IL-6 and TNF-α in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The TCM nursing in SCSM application can reduce secondary injury and related complications and improve the function of the cervical spine and comprehensive curative effect, and its mechanism may be related to inhibition of the expression of in.ammatory cytokines.
