Postoperative Gait Model and Stress Analysis of Musculoskeletal Three-dimensional Finite Element in Fixtion of Intertrochanteric Fracture about External Fixation Frame

Abstract:
Objective To study the biomechanical characteristics of postoperative gait model in treatment of intertrochanteric fracture of single arm external fixation frame and provide theoretical basis for clinical treatment. Methods To reconstruct three-dimensional geometric model of the femoral and external ?xator by CT data ?le and Simpleware software. The model of normal human femur was established in Anybody software and was imported to the Geomagic Studio software with femoral external ?xator (STL) geometric model at the same time, and the two groups of model were compared and registered. The appropriate external ?xator femoral model was imported into Anybody software, and the Mesh model format (inp) by Simpleware software was imported into Abaqus software. The stress distribution of a gait cycle was analyzed. Results Taking the left side for example, The greater stress occurred in the joint of stainless steel nail and the femur as well as the joint of stainless steel nails and ?xed frame. There was no obvious stress concentration in the whole body. In typical gait, greater stress was produced in the right toe off the ground and the left sole landing, and a certain stress concentration occured in the left heel landing and the right heel landing. The stress was the smallest when the left toe was off the ground. Conclusion The treatment of intertrochanteric fracture by single arm external ?xation frame is safe and effective, and the treatment of fracture accords with the biomechanical requirements for human walking state.
