Therapeutic effect observation of Fuzheng Jiedu method in the treatment of postoperative infusion-related lower urinary tract symptoms of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer

Abstract:
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Fuzheng Jiedu decoction on lower urinary tract symptom in patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). Methods A total of 80 NMIBC patients who underwent intravesical instillation were enrolled in this cohort study, including 40 patients from Guang′anmen Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and 40 patients from Peking University First Hospital from April 2023 to December 2023. Patients in both groups received postoperative adjuvant perfusion drugs. The traditional Chinese medicine group was treated with intravesical instillation combined with Professor Lu Jianxin′s Fuzheng Jiedu decoction. The OABSS score, CLSS score and other scores, the disappearance time of lower urinary tract symptoms and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of the two groups at different follow-up time points were improved, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05).The improvement of scores in the TCM group was better than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). There were significant differences in the disappearance time of lower urinary tract symptoms between the two groups at 3 months and 6 months of follow-up in the overall analysis, 6 months of follow-up in the pirarubicin subgroup analysis, the first follow-up, 1 month of follow-up, and 3 months of follow-up in the BCG subgroup analysis (P <0.05), and the disappearance time of urinary urgency in the TCM group was better than the control group. During the follow-up period, the adverse reactions of diarrhea in the two groups were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Fuzheng Jiedu decoction can effectively improve the lower urinary tract symptoms of NMIBC patients after postoperative perfusion, especially urgency. It can effectively improve a variety of urination scores in patients with postoperative perfusion of NMIBC, and has advantages in clinical efficacy and certain safety.
