Clinical efficacy analysis of interventional treatment for acute pancreatitis with bleeding

Abstract:
Objective To summarize the application of interventional hemostasis technology in the treatment of acute pancreatitis complicated with bleeding. Methods Collect and analyze clinical data and interventional treatment procedures of 26 patients with acute pancreatitis complicated with bleeding admitted to our unit in the past 3 years. Results There were 26 patients with acute pancreatitis combined with bleeding, including 5 cases of acute pancreatitis and 21 cases of severe pancreatitis. There were 8 cases of gastrointestinal bleeding, 16 cases of abdominal bleeding, 3 cases of pseudocysts with bleeding, and 1 case of gastrointestinal bleeding with abdominal bleeding. There were 2 cases of bleeding from the left gastric artery, 5 cases of bleeding from the gastroduodenal artery, 4 cases of bleeding from the superior mesenteric artery, 11 cases of bleeding from the splenic artery, and 4 cases of bleeding from the pancreaticoduodenal artery. 23 cases were successfully treated with hemostasis, 2 cases were unsuccessful, and 1 case was unclear. After hemostasis, 22 cases were cured and 4 cases died. The success rate of interventional treatment is 88.5%, and the mortality rate due to bleeding is 15.4%. Conclusion Interventional hemostasis technology has reliable therapeutic effects and can be used as the first treatment method for acute pancreatitis complicated with bleeding.
