Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effects of Chaihu Shugan powder combined with interventional targeted therapy on physical status and immune function of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods A total of 70 HCC patients admitted to our hospital from July 2022 to March 2024 were randomly grouped, and were randomly divided into targeted therapy group and combined group. All patients were treated with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE), the targeted therapy group was treated with molecular targeted drug Apatinib, and the combined group was treated with Chaihu Shugan powder on the basis of the targeted therapy group. The curative effect, TCM syndrome score, physical status, liver function, Immune function and adverse reactions. Results After treatment, The clinical response rate (DCR) and objective response rate (ORR) of the combination group were 57.14% and 91.43%, respectively, which were greatly higher than those of the targeted therapy group (31.43% and 71.43%) (P <0.05); the TCM syndrome score in the combination group was lower than that in the targeted therapy group (P<0.05), and the KPS score was higher than that in the targeted therapy group (P <0.05); the levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and total bilirubin (TBIL) in the combination group were lower than those in the targeted therapy group (P <0.05); the levels of CD4+, CD3+ and CD4+/CD8+ in the combination group were higher than those in the targeted therapy group(P<0.05), and the level of CD8+ in the combination group was lower than that in the targeted therapy group (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the combination group was 20.00%, which was lower than the 45.71% in the targeted therapy group (P <0.05). Conclusion For HCC patients, the combination of TACE treatment and Chaihu Shugan powder oral administration can effectively improve the therapeutic effect, physical condition, and immune function.
