Abstract:
Objective To observe the impacts of Yinling Xiaozhong pill combined with arthroscopic debridement on the degree of knee joint swelling and joint range of motion in patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Methods A total of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type 92 KOA patients who visited Cangzhou Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital in Hebei Province from January 2022 to July 2023 were randomly separated KOA patients into a combination group (46 cases) and a reference group (46 cases). The reference group underwent arthroscopic debridement, while the combined group received Yinling Xiaozhong pill based on reference group. The efficacy of the two groups after 4 weeks of treatment, the symptom scores, KSS, joint range of motion, serum inflammatory factors, and incidence of untoward reactions during treatment before, 2 weeks of treatment, and 4 weeks of treatment was compared. Results The total effective rate of the combination group (95.65%) was obviously higher than that of the reference group (76.09%) (P<0.05). Compared with before treatment, the KSS, flexion extension arc were significantly increased after 2 weeks and 4 weeks of treatment, and the combined group was higher than the control group (P<0.05). Symptom score, and serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) C-reactive protein (CRP), and interleukin-6 (IL-6), were obviously decreased in combination group compared with control group (P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion The combination of Yinling Xiaozhong pill and arthroscopic debridement can effectively improve the degree of knee swelling and joint mobility in KOA patients, and has high safety.
