Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of Tongluo Zhitong prescription on knee osteoarthritis (KOA) and its influence on inflammatory factors. Methods The period from January 2023 to June 2024 is selected 86 patients with KOA were admitted divided into control group (n=43) and study group (n=43) by random number table method. The control group was given acupuncture treatment on the basis of conventional western medicine treatment, and the study group was given Tongluo Zhitong prescription on the basis of treatment. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The clinical efficacy and osteoarthritis index (WOMAC) of the two groups were evaluated, and the levels of inflammatory factors[tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), interleukin-1β(IL-1β) and interleukin-6(IL-6)] in the two groups were compared. The correlation between WOMAC score and inflammatory factors was analyzed by Pearson, and the total incidence of adverse reactions was calculated. Results There was statistical significance in the distribution of clinical efficacy between the two groups(P<0.05). The total effective rate of the study group was 93.02%, which was higher than that of the control group 76.74%(P<0.05). Compared with before treatment, the scores of pain, stiffness, difficulty of daily living and total score of WOMAC scale in both groups were decreased after treatment (P<0.05), and the scores of the above dimensions in the study group were lower, the overall difference is higher(P<0.05). TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 after treatment were all lower than before treatment (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the levels of TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 were lower in the study group after treatment (P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that pain score, stiffness score and difficulty of daily living score were positively correlated with TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in study group and control group was 13.95% and 9.30%, respectively, and there was no significant difference between them(P>0.05). Conclusion Tongluo Zhitong prescription in the treatment of KOA is effective, can significantly alleviate clinical symptoms, reduce the level of inflammatory factors, good safety.
