Effect of Ginseng Yangrong Decoction on the therapeutic effect of patients with bone marrow suppression after chemotherapy of small cell lung cancer

Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of Ginseng Yangrong Decoction on the curative effect of patients with bone marrow suppression after chemotherapy of small cell lung cancer. Methods A total of 120 patients with bone marrow suppression after chemotherapy for small cell lung cancer in our hospital from May 2019 to December 2020 were selected and randomly divided into a treatment group (60 cases) and a control group (60 cases) according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with western medicine, and the treatment group was treated with Ginseng Yangrong Decoction on the basis of the control group.The immune indicators [tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), soluble interleukin-2 receptor (sIL-2R)], Karnofsky scale (KPS) and the MOS item short from health survey (SF-36) score, serum albumin level, white blood cell count, neutrophil count, platelet count, incidence of toxic and side effects and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with before treatment, after treatment, the KPS score, SF-36 score, TNF-α, serum albumin level, white blood cell count, neutrophil count, and platelet count of the two groups increased (P<0.05), and the treatment group were higher than the control group (P<0.05);the level of sIL-2R decreased (P<0.05), and the treatment group was lower than the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of side effects in the treatment group was 31.67%, and the incidence of side effects in the control group was 73.33%, in the treatment group was lower than the control group (P<0.05); the total effective rate of the treatment group (76.67%) was higher than that of the control group (50.00%) (P<0.05). Conclusion Ginseng Yangrong Decoction for patients with bone marrow suppression after chemotherapy for small cell lung cancer can improve the immune function and clinical symptoms of the patients, improve the quality of life, reduce the incidence of toxic and side effects, and enhance the efficacy.
