Effect of modified jingui shenqi pill on seminal fructose concentration in patients with asthenospermia and its efficacy observation

Abstract:
Objective To study the effect of modified Jingui Shenqi Pill on fructose concentration in seminal plasma of patients with asthenospermia. Methods 81 male infertility patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020 were selected, were randomly divided into treatment group (43 cases) and control group (38 cases). The treatment group was treated with modified Jinkui Shenqi Pill in the form of decoction pieces, and decocted decoction was taken orally 120 mL, twice a day; The control group took Qilin pill 6 g once, twice a day. Three months is one treatment cycle. The semen parameters, androgen levels and safety were evaluated before and after treatment. Results There was no statistically significant difference in total effective rate between the treatment group and the control group (88.4% vs 76.3%, P>0.05). Both groups of treatment significantly increased sperm viability, seminal fructose concentration and androgen level (P<0.05). The improvement of sperm viability, seminal fructose concentration and androgen level in the treatment group was also significantly improved compared with the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). There were no adverse events during the treatment period, and the patient's compliance was good. Conclusion Modified Jinkui Shenqi Pill can significantly improve sperm quality and seminal fructose concentration, and can improve the androgen level of patients, with good safety, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
