Abstract:
Objective To investigate the feasibility of closed negative pressure aspiration combined with low-flow Kangfuxin liquid irrigation in the treatment of infectious wounds after adult plastic surgery. Methods A total of 21 patients with postoperative wound infections after plastic surgery who were admitted to the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of Tianjin Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine and the Times Plastic and Cosmetic Clinic in Hebei District, Tianjin from April 2022 to December 2024 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group of 9 cases and an observation group of 12 cases. The control group was treated with conventional debridement, followed by Kangfuxin liquid irrigation and dressing change, and secondary suture. The observation group was treated with conventional debridement and primary suture, and the wound was treated with closed negative pressure aspiration combined with low-flow Kangfuxin liquid irrigation. Both groups were given oral antibiotics. The clinical efficacy, scar assessment scale (POSAS), pain visual analogue scale (VAS), total treatment time and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the combined group was significantly higher than that of the control group (91.67% vs 44.44%, P <0.05). The VAS and POSAS scores of both groups significantly decreased after treatment, and the combined group was significantly lower than the control group (P <0.05). The total treatment time of the combined group was significantly shorter than that of the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P >0.05). Conclusion Closed negative pressure aspiration combined with low-flow Kangfuxin liquid irrigation is effective in the treatment of infectious wounds after adult plastic surgery, and can significantly reduce the degree of scar hyperplasia. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
