Efficacy evaluation of external medicinal liquid application and hoop circumference for promotionally dispersing initial anal carbuncle under the theory of defended field

Abstract:
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of the Xiaoyong Zhitong decoction for external medicinal liquid application combined with Jinhuang ointment for hoop circumference which promoted the regression of redness and swelling in the initial stage of anal carbuncle and to explore its preliminary mechanism, so as to provide scientific evidence for the external therapy of perianal abscess guided by the defended field theory. Methods A total of 72 patients up to standards were divided into the control group and the treatment group, with 36 cases in each group. The control group was performed on oral administration of Cefdinir capsules combined with Metronidazole Tablets and sitz baths. The treatment group was performed on the Xiaoyong Zhitong decoction for external medicinal liquid application combined with Jinhuang Ointment for hoop circumference sitting around the perianal swelling. 7 days later, compare signs-inflammation scores between two groups, swelling area, perianal pain severity, defended-field formation rate, overall clinical efficacy rate, and side effect evaluation. Results The comparison of both groups′ total effectiveness rates, which differentiation was statistically significant indicated that total efficacy was superior for the treatment group rather than the control group(P <0.05). The treatment group demonstrated greater advantage in improving systemic symptoms, deducing lump area, alleviating perianal pain, and accelerating the establishment of defended field(P <0.05). Conclusion It was the regional application focusing on external medicinal liquid application and hoop circumference in the preliminary stage of anal carbuncle that directed the drugs′ effectual component to the illness station. External application with Chinese herbals could effectively promote the dissipation of swelling and the self-ulceration of pus, alleviate pain, and promote the establishment of defended field, which has demonstrating clinical utility.
