Effect of Xuefu Zhuyu decoction combined with foam sclerotherapy combined with high ligation of great saphenous vein and EVLT on CEC, ET-1 and NO in patients with lower extremity varicose veins

Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the effect of Xuefu Zhuyu decoction in the treatment of varicose veins of lower extremities with foam sclerotherapy combined with high ligation of saphenous vein and intracavitary laser closure (EVLT), and analyze the changes of CEC, ET-1 and NO levels. Methods 368 patients with lower limb varicose veins admitted to our hospital from October 2020 to October 2022 were retrospectively included, and were divided into control group and study group according to treatment, with 184 cases each. The control group was treated with foam sclerotherapy combined with high ligation of great saphenous vein and EVLT, while the study group was treated with Xuefu Zhuyu decoction combined with foam sclerotherapy, high ligation of great saphenous vein and EVLT. Continuous treatment for 8 weeks. The time of clinical symptom resolution, CEC, ET-1, NO, hemorheology indexes, inflammatory factors, length of great saphenous vein treatment, GSV closure rate,length of hospital stay and serum Bcl-2, Bax, Caspase-3 levels were compared between the two groups. Results The disappearance time of lower limb symptoms in the study group was significantly shorter than that in the control group. After treatment, vascular endothelial function and hemorheology indexes were improved in both groups, and the improvement was more significant in the study group (p<0.05). The hospital stay of the study group was shorter than that of the control group (p<0.05). After treatment, the levels of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group, while the levels of Bax were lower than those in the control group (p<0.05).Conclusion Xuefu Zhuyu decoction combined with foamsclerotherapy, saphenous vein high ligation and EVLT in the treatment of varicose veins of lower limbs can accelerate the remission of clinical symptoms, improve vascular endothelial function and hemorheology indexes, inhibit inflammation, and have good clinical effects.
