Abstract:
Objective To observe the clinical effect of red light irradiation combined with Qufu Shengxin ointment in the treatment of qi deficiency and blood stasis type ecthyma. Methods 64 patients with ecthyma, whose TCM syndrome was blood stasis type, were divided into experimental group and control group with 32 cases each by random number table method. After admission, debridement treatment was given to both groups. After debridement, red light irradiation was given to both groups. The experimental group was combined with Qufu Shengxin ointment and the control group with topical recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor gel. Clinical effect (pain, swelling, ulcer area, and ulcer depth, wound healing rate and healing time), factors related to wound healing (positive rate of wound bacteria, transcutaneous oxygen partial pressure tcpO2, skin adverse reaction rate), serum inflammation and related cytokines [C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin (IL-6, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)] were analyzed at observation sites 2. Results After treatment, the clinical therapeutic index and tcpO2, CRP, IL-6 and VEGF indexes of two groups were improved. Compared with the two groups, the relief of pain and swelling in experimental group was better than that in control group after 7 days of treatment (P <0.05). After 14 days of treatment, swelling and CRP were improved compared with control group (P <0.05), ulcer area, ulcer depth, tcpO2, IL-6 and VEGF were significantly improved compared with control group (P <0.01). After treatment, there were no significant differences in the positive rate of bacterial clearance and skin defects between the two groups (P >0.05). Conclusion Red light irradiation combined with Qufu Shengxin ointment to treat qi deficiency and blood stasis type ecthyma has significant clinical effect, which can relieve the clinical symptoms of affected limb, improve wound inflammation, promote angiogenesis, improve microcirculation and do not increase wound side effects.
