Abstract:
Objective To analyze the common postoperative complications of percutaneous transhepatic cholangiographic drainage (PTCD) for obstructive jaundice and the nursing strategies of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 100 patients with obstructive jaundice undergoing PTCD surgery admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to December 2021. They were divided into two groups according to nursing methods: a combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing group (50 cases) and a routine Western medicine nursing group (50 cases). Compare the incidence of common complications on the third day after surgery, changes in general vital sign monitoring indicators immediately and three days after surgery, and satisfaction with nursing care one week after surgery between two groups of patients. Results The incidence of common postoperative complications in patients in the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing group was 6.0% (3/50), lower than 40.0% (20/50) in the conventional Western medicine nursing group, with a statistically significant difference(χ2 =8.935, P<0.05). Immediately after surgery, there was no significant difference in heart rate and ventilation between the two groups of patients (P>0.05); On the third day after surgery, the heart rate and respiration of the two groups of patients were lower than immediately after surgery (P<0.05), while the heart rate and respiration of the patients in the integrated Chinese and Western medicine nursing group were lower than those in the conventional Western medicine nursing group (P<0.05); The satisfaction score of the integrated Chinese and Western medicine nursing group was (82.30±5.62), which was higher than that of the conventional Western medicine nursing group (75.25±5.85), and the difference was statistically significant (t=5.408, P<0.001). Conclusion The incidence of common complications after PTCD surgery for obstructive jaundice is relatively high, and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing is more effective than routine Western medicine nursing.
