Therapeutic effect of transurethral thulium laser resection combined with Wuling San and X-ray shield on patients with superficial bladder tumo

Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of transurethral thulium laser resection combined with Wuling San and X-ray shield on the surgical treatment of patients with superficial bladder tumor and the influence of serum carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA) and Cytokeratin 19 fragment(Cyfra21-1). Methods Retrospectively selected 102 patients with superficial bladder tumor admitted to our hospital from October 2018 to June 2021 as the subjects of this study. According to the different treatment methods received by patients, they were divided into the observation group and the control group, each with 51 cases. The control group was treated with transurethral thulium laser resection. The observation group, based on the control group, combined with Wuling San and X-ray protective shield, compared the operation, postoperative complications and recurrence of patients in the two groups. Results Both groups achieved certain clinical expectations. The intraoperative bleeding volume, operation time, bladder flushing time, Foley catheter retention time and hospital stay in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). During the treatment period, neither group experienced severe uncontrollable complications or postoperative adverse reactions. The incidence of urinary tract infections, urethral strictures, and incision infections in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); There were no lost cases during the one-year period, and the recurrence rate in the control group was 19.61%, while the recurrence rate in the observation group was 5.88%. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The disease control rate(DCR) of the observation group was higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of CEA and CYFRA21-1 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Transurethral thulium laser resection combined with Wuling San Wan and X-ray shield has good clinical effectiveness in the treatment of superficial bladder tumors, and the incidence of postoperative complications of patients is lower.
