Observation on the efficacy of compound Huangbai liquid solution applied externally to control the infection of multiple drug-resistant bacteria in diabetes foot

Abstract:
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of compound Huangbai liquid solution applied externally to control the infection of multiple drug-resistant bacteria in diabetes foot. Methods 64 patients with diabetic foot infection in our hospital from January 2021 to January 2022 were selected, and 3 cases were lost. 61 patients were randomly divided into treatment group (31 cases) and control group (30 cases) by random number table. The treatment group was treated with basic treatment and external application of compound Huangbai liquid solution, while the control group was treated with basic treatment and routine dressing change with calcium alginate silver fiber dressing. The data were recorded at (0 ± 2), (7 ± 2), (14 ± 2) days after treatment. The total effective rate, TCM syndrome quantitative score of diabetic foot, infection control rate, infection control time and bacterial culture negative conversion rate were compared between the two groups. Results After (7 ± 2) days and (14 ± 2) days of treatment, the scores of TCM syndrome quantification in the treatment group were (36.68 ± 8.99) and (33.45 ± 8.12) respectively, while those in the control group were (38.43 ± 10.13) and (35.37 ± 9.88) respectively. The scores of TCM syndrome quantification in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the decrease in the treatment group was more significant. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The infection control rate was 58.06% in the treatment group and 23.33% in the control group after (14 ± 2) days of treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no difference in other indexes between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion With the increase of medication time, the comprehensive efficacy of compound Huangbai liquid solution dressing in controlling multiple drug-resistant bacterial infection of diabetic foot was better than that of calcium alginate silver fiber dressing, and it was more effective in improving the quantitative score of TCM syndrome of diabetic foot.
