Effects of Early Aggressive Rehabilitation on Outcomes After Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction:A Meta-analysis

Abstract:
Objective Based on published randomized controlled trials (RCTs),a Meta-analysis was performed on the effects of early aggressive rehabilitation on outcomes after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. Methods PubMed,Cochrane library,Embase and other databases were searched.Data were not limited. Language was only English.According to the criteria,the literature was screenedand datawere extracted by two reviewers independently. Therisk of bias tool of Cochrane Collaboration was used toassess the quality of literature.RevMan 5.3 software was used to perform theMeta-analysis,including the contrast of Lysholm scores,Tegner scores,KT-1000 or KT-2000 arthrometer measurement and single-leg hop test. Results Twelve RCTs were included, with a total of 544 patients. Meta-analysis results showed that there was no significant difference in Tegner scores (P =0.48, I2=0%), KT-1000 or KT-2000 arthrometer measurement ( P =0.62, I2=0％ ), single-leg hop test (P =0.17, I2=0％ ). Conclusion There was no significant difference in the clinical results of early rehabilitation training on the recovery of anterior cruciate ligament for knee function recovery.
