Efficacy of Therapy with New Dressing in Diabetic Foot Infection and Its Influence on Serum Related Index

Abstract:
Objective To analyze the efficacy of the therapy with silver alginate ion dressing in diabetic foot infection and its influence on serum related index. Methods 80 patients with diabetic foot infection admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to October 2021 were selected and divided into control group (40 cases) and observation group (40 cases) by random number table method. Vaseline dressing was used in the control group and silver alginate ion dressing was used in the observation group. The healing time, dressing change, wound area, symptom score, the level of serum index and clinical efficacy of both groups were compared. Results The wound healing time and dressing change times of the observation group were obviously lower in comparison with those of the control group (P<0.05), and the therapy total effective rate was obviously higher in comparison with that of the control group (P<0.05). The wound area, wound symptom score, the levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) in 2 and 4 weeks after therapy of both groups were obviously lower in comparison with those before therapy (P<0.05), 4 weeks after therapy were obviously lower in comparison with those 2 weeks after therapy (P<0.05), and the observation group were obviously lower in comparison with those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Compared with vaseline dressing, the efficacy of the therapy with silver alginate ion dressing in diabetic foot infection was better, which can effectively promote the wound healing, relieve the wound symptom, reduce the wound area and dressing change times, as well as control the inflammatory response of body.
