Effect of Emotional Freedom Technique Combined with Auricular Point Sticking on Postoperative Pain and Anxiety of Mixed Hemorrhoids

Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of emotional freedom technique combined with auricular point sticking on pain and anxiety in patients with mixed hemorrhoids after operation. Methods 99 patients with mixed hemorrhoids after operation were divided into control group (routine nursing, 33 cases) , auricular acupoint group (adding auricular point sticking on the basis of routine nursing, 33 cases) and combined group (adding emotional freedom technique on the basis of routine nursing and auricular point sticking intervention, 33 cases) by digital random table method. The changes of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and State Anxiety Inventory (SAI) were observed at different time points after intervention, and the nursing satisfaction of patients was evaluated after intervention. Results The VAS scores of 48h, 72h and 7d after intervention in the combined group were significantly lower than those of the auricular acupoint group and the control group (P <0.05). The S-AI score of 72h after intervention in the combined group was significantly lower than that of the auricular acupoint group and control group (P <0.05). After intervention, the satisfaction scores of the combined group and auricular acupoint group were significantly higher than that of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Emotional freedom technique combined with auricular point sticking can effectively reduce the pain degree, improve anxiety and improve nursing satisfaction of patients with mixed hemorrhoids after operation.
