Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effect of preoperative moxibustion combined with postoperative acupuncture on the improvement of gastrointestinal function in patients with gastric cancer after surgery. Methods Ninety-six patients undergoing gastric cancer surgery in Aoyang Hospital Affiliated to Jiangsu University from January 2019 to July 2021 were selected and divided into two groups with 48 patients in each group according to random number table method. The control group received routine perioperative treatment. On the basis of the control group, the observation group was treated with Preoperative moxibustion on Zusanli and Zhongwan combined with postoperative acupuncture on Qimen and Xingjian. The improvement time of gastrointestinal function index, gastrointestinal dysfunction score, the clinical efficacy, and gastrointestinal hormone index were compared between both groups. Results The recovery time of first exhaust, defecation, bowel sound, and feeding through nasogastric jejunum nutrient tube in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group (P <0.01). On the 7th day after surgery, gastrointestinal dysfunction scores in both groups were significantly decreased, and the decrease was more significant in the observation group (P <0.01).The effective rate of observation group and control group was 97.92% (47/48) and 83.33% (40/48) respectively,7 days after operation, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). 7 days after operation, serum levels of gastrin, pepsinogen(PG) Ⅰ, and PG Ⅱ in both groups were significantly increased, and the increase was more obvious in the observation group (P <0.01). Conclusion Preoperative moxibustion on Zusanli and Zhongwan combined with postoperative acupuncture on Qimen and Xingjian can help the recover of gastrointestinal function after operation, increase the efficacy, and regulate gastrointestinal hormone secretion.
