Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effect of Jinhuang Ointment on gastrointestinal function and inflammatory cytokines after laparoscopic appendectomy for acute appendicitis. Methods A total of 150 patients with acute appendicitis admitted to our hospital from August 2018 to July 2020 were selected as the research subjects. Prospective study analysis method was adopted, and the included patients were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table, with 75 cases in each group. Laparoscopic appendectomy was performed in the control group, and Jinhuang ointment was applied in the observation group after laparoscopic operation. The clinical efficacy, gastrointestinal function, the levels of Tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), C-reactive protein(CRP), white blood cell count, neutrophils and complications were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the total clinical effective rate of observation group (85.33%) was higher than that of the control group (62.67%) (P<0.05). The GSRS score, the first exhaust time and the recovery time of bowel sounds in the observation group were lower than those in the control group [(6.74±1.85), (23.49±6.30) h and (19.33±4.71) h respectively], which were lower than those in the control group [(9.08±2.47), (30.08±7.22) h and (27.59±5.63) h] (P<0.05). The levels of TNF-α, IL-6, CRP, WBC count and neutrophils in both groups were lower than those before treatment (P<0.05). The TNF-α, IL-6, CRP, white blood cell count and neutrophil level in the observation group [( 37 . 53 ±6 . 12 ) pg/mL,(29.74±4.99) pg/mL, (7.88±2.19) mg/L, (7.69±0.97) ×109/L, (58.27±3.10) %] were lower than those in the control group [(56.49±8.51) pg/mL, (40.05±6.11) pg/mL, (12.07±2.63) pg/mL, (10.87±1.53)× 109/L, (74.69±3.55) %] (P<0.05). The incidence of pain, intestinal obstruction, infection of incisional wound, abdominal abscess and other complications in the observation group (6.67%) was lower than those in the control group (20.00%) (P<0.05). Conclusion The Jinhuang ointment for laparoscopic surgery of acute appendicitis can improve the clinical effect, promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function, reduce the level of in.ammatory factors. The incidence of complications is low, which is of clinical signi.cance.
