Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of Yiqi Yangyin therapia for the treatment of intestinal obstruction (IO) by Meta-analysis. Methods The Pubmed, Embase, Cochrane Library, CNKI, VIP, WanFang Data and CBM databases were retrieved from the time of database establishment to March 2021. Two reviewers screened the literatures, extracted data and evaluated the bias of the included trials independently. Afterwards, Meta- analysis were performed with RevMan 5.3 software. Results A total of 20 trials involving 1583 patients were included into the analysis. The results of Meta-analysis showed that Yiqi Yangyin therapia for the treatment of IO had stronger effect on increasing overall effective rate [OR=4.73, 95%CI= (3.35, 6.70), P<0.001], shortening the first anal exhaust time [MD=-1.36, 95%CI= (-1.76, -0.96), P<0.001]. The first defecation time [MD=-1.13, 95%CI= (-1.71, -0.55), P<0.001] and the abdominal pain relief time were superior to those of the control group (P<0.001). Conclusion The combination of Yiqi Yangyin therapia and routine western medicine treatment for IO is more effective than routine western medicine treatment alone. However, for the methodological quality of the included studies, it is generally low and the conclusion needs more RCTs of high quality to give a further verification.
