Correlation Analysis of P2X7 Receptor Expression in Colon Cancer Tissues and Patient Prognosis

Abstract:
Objective To explore the relationship between the expression of P2X7 receptor in colon cancer tissue and the characteristics of colon cancer and the prognosis of patients. Methods 120 cases of colon cancer tissue in Hebei Petro China Central Hospital from January 2017 to January 2018 were collected. Their corresponding paracancerous tissue specimens (paracancerous tissues) were selected. The immunohistochemical staining were used to detect the positive expression rate of P2X7 receptors, and they were divided into different prognosis. The pathological characteristics of the patients were different, and the relationship between P2X7 receptors and the patients' 3-year prognostic outcome were analyzed. Results The high expression rate of P2X7 receptor in colon cancer tissue was 28.3%, lower than that in the adjacent tissues of 65%, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Follow-up for 3 years, the mortality rate of P2X7 receptor low expression group was 52.6%, in 33.3% of the high expression group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). In survival analysis, the survival time of patients in the P2X7 receptor low expression group was shorter than that of the high expression group, and the difference was statistically significant (Log Rank χ2=4.652, P =0.031). The results of the establishment of Logistic regression model showed that higher TNM stage, positive resection margin, positive lymph node metastasis, vascular invasion and low expression of P2X7 receptor are independent of poor prognosis of colon cancer patients risk factors (P < 0.05). Conclusion The expression of P2X7 receptor in colon cancer tissue is low, and it is one of the independent risk factors for poor prognosis of patients.
