Clinical Observation of Huoxue Tongmai Granules Combined with Tibial Transverse Transport Technique in the Treating Diabetic Foot Ulcers

Abstract:
Objective To explore the clinical effect of Huoxue Tongmai granules combined with Ilizarov tibial transverse transport technique in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers. Methods From February 2017 to March 2020, 58 patients with diabetic foot ulcers were treated with tibial transverse transport technique. They were divided into traditional Chinese medicine group and control group according to therapeutic methods. There were 30 patients in traditional Chinese medicine group and 28 patients in control group. They were given hypoglycemic drugs after operation, the patients in traditional Chinese medicine group were given Huoxue Tongmai granules at 3 days after operation. The patients in control group were only given hypoglycemic drugs after operation. The VAS score, ankle-brachial index, the skin temperature of the affected foot, 10g monofilament test score and ulcer wound healing time were all recorded pre and post-operatively to evaluate clinical efficacy. Results All patients were followed for 6 to 9 months (7.8±1.3 months). The VAS score, ankle-brachial index, skin temperature of affected foot and 10g monofilament test score of two groups at 3 months, 6 months after operation were compared with those before operation, which the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). These indicators in traditional Chinese medicine group at 3 months, 6 months after operation were compared with those of control group, which the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The ulcer wound healing time of traditional Chinese medicine group were shorter than that of control group, which the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The clinical effect of Huoxue Tongmai granules combined with tibial transverse transport technique in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers patients is signi?cant. Huoxue Tongmai granules can effectively relieve the foot pain, improve the limb microcirculation and skin sensation as well as accelerate ulcer wound healing, which the clinical ef?cacy is satisfactory.
