Danshen Huoxue Decoction Combined with Electrotherapy for the Treatment of Swelling and Pain after Spontaneous Knee Osteonecrosis with Minimally Invasive Replacement

Abstract:
Objective To analyze the effect of Danshen Huoxue Decoction combined with electrotherapy on the pain of swelling after minimally invasive replacement of spontaneous knee osteonecrosis. Methods 92 cases of spontaneous osteonecrosis patients who were admitted to our hospital from May 2017 to November 2019 were randomly divided into two groups according to the computer digital table method, 46 cases in each group. The control group was treated with intermediate frequency electrotherapy after operation and the experimental group was treated with Danshen Huoxue Decoction combined with intermediate frequency electrotherapy after operation.The degree of swelling of the affected limb, the degree of pain in the resting and active state of the affected group, knee function and joint mobility were compared and analyzed between the two groups. Results On the next day after operation and on the 3rd and 7th day after surgery, the degree of swelling of the affected limb in the experimental group were all lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant (P<0.05). On the 3rd and 7th postoperative days, the VAS scores of the resting and active limbs of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant (P<0.05). At 7 days after surgery, the HSS of the experimental group was (80.03±5.20) points and the ROM was (114.61±10.03)°, which were higher than (76.22±5.17) points and (105.28±10.10) °of the control group respectively, with statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The effect of Danshen Huoxue Decoction combined with electrotherapy on patients with spontaneous knee osteonecrosis after minimally invasive replacement is significant. It can help to relieve the swelling and pain of the affected limbs after surgery, and promote the improvement of knee function and joint mobility.
