Effect of Sanhuang Hemorrhoid Ointment on Wound Healing after Mixed Hemorrhoids Operation

Abstract:
Objective To observe the clinical effect of Sanhuang hemorrhoid ointment on wound healing after mixed hemorrhoids. Methods 80 patients with mixed hemorrhoids were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 40 cases in each group. Both groups were given external stripping and internal ligation. After surgery, they were given traditional Chinese medicine laser sitting bath machine fumigation and washing bath. The control group was given vaseline gauze dressing change drainage after sitting bath, and the treatment group was given self-made Sanhuang hemorrhoids ointment oil gauze dressing change drainage. The wound pain, edema, granulation tissue growth and wound healing time on the 1st, 4th, 7th day after surgery were observed. Results On the 4th day, the scores of wound pain and granulation tissue edema in the treatment group was (1.03±0.22; 1.21±0.30), which were significantly lower than those in the control group (2.12±0.18; 1.87±0.52) (P<0.05). On the 7th day, the scores of wound pain and granulation tissue edema in the treatment group was (0.56±0.31; 0.87±0.22), which were significantly lower than those in the control group (1.3±0.43; 1.23±0.25) (P<0.05). The wound healing time of the treatment group (23.0±5.3) d was significantly shorter than that of the control group (30.1±6.6) d (P<0.05). After 21 days of dressing change, the recovery rate of the treatment group was 75%, which significantly higher than that of the control group (53%) (P<0.05). Conclusion The dressing change of Sanhuang hemorrhoid ointment on the wound surface after external stripping and internal ligation of mixed hemorrhoids can effectively reduce postoperative pain and edema, promote postoperative wound healing and shorten the wound healing time, which is worthy of clinical application.
