Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of radiofrequency ablation combined with foam sclerotherapy in treatment of varicose ulcer of lower extremity. Methods Retrospective analysis 42 cases of patients with varicose ulcer of lower extremity in our hospital from March 2017 to June 2018 who were treated with radiofrequency ablation combined with sclerosing foam. Results 42 patients were operated successfully. The VCSS scores in three months and 12 months after surgery were significantly reduced, which the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). 42 patients had lower limb ulcer healing, and the average healing time was (36±9.27) days, which from 19 to 55 days. After a 12-month follow -up, only1 patient' s ulcer recurred. Conclusion Radiofrequency ablation combined with sclerosing foam is effective and safe for the treatment of venous ulcers of lower extremity.
