Abstract:
Objective To investigate Tctex-1 expression in renal cancer and its clinical significance. Methods 136 cases of renal cell carcinoma and its adjacent normal tissue were detected for Tctex-1 expression by immunohistochemical method. Compare the expression rates of Tctex-1 in renal cell carcinoma tissue with adjacent normal renal tissue and analyze the relationship between Tctex-1 expression rates and its clinical characteristics of renal cell carcinoma. Results The positive expression rates of Tctex- 1 in renal cell carcinoma was 91.9%, which is significantly higher than the adjacent normal renal tissue 12.5% (P <0.01). The positive expression rates of Tctex-1 in pathological grade, clinical stage Ⅲ and stage Ⅳ renal cell carcinoma were significantly higher than those in stage Ⅰ and stage Ⅱ respectively (P <0.05). Conclusion The high expression of Tctex-1 may help to diagnose and may be as an indicator to pathological grade and clinical stages. It will be available for postoperative adjuvant treatment in RCC.
