Application of Integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine Nursing on Osteoporosis Patients on WeChat Platform

Abstract:
Objective To explore the application of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine nursing onWeChat platform for perimenopausal osteoporosis patients. Methods Totally 100 perimenopausal osteoporosis patientswith deficiency of both the spleen and kidney were selected as the research subjects for TCM syndromes treated in our hospital from September 2017 to September 2018. They were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 50 cases in each group.During the hospitalization period, the patients in both groups were given hospitalization education and the education content included general knowledge about diet, psychology, exercise and fall prevention for patients with perimenopausal osteoporosis.The control group was sent hospitalization education to patients in the form of videos and texts after being discharged from the hospital. On the basis of this, the observation group was established a WeChat group when hospitalized and was implemented health education through the WeChat platform after discharge.Patients in both groups were followed up for 6 months. Results Patients’ health status questionnaire before and after the intervention, diseaserelated knowledge score, treatment compliance rate and pain visual analogue scale were all significantly different (P <0.05). Conclusion Applying WeChat education to perimenopausal patients with osteoporosis can improve their osteoporosis symptoms and promote rehabilitation, which has a higher clinical value.
