Abstract:
Objective To analyze the effect of local spine massage on Visual Analogue Score (VAS)and sleep quality in patients with neck, shoulder, waist and leg pain. Methods 144 patients with neck, shoulder, low back and leg pain treated in our hospital from May 2017 to January 2019 were divided into two groups according to the different treatment methods. The control group was treated with routine drugs, and the observation group was treated with local orthopaedic massage of spine on the basis of the control group. The curative effect, VAS score, CASCS score of main joint function, sleep quality and recurrence rate of the two groups were analyzed. Results The efficacy of the observation group and the control group were compared with the control group, which the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The observation group was superior to the control group. The VAS score and the CASCS score of major joint function were compared between the two groups before treatment, which the difference was not statistically significant (P >0.05). After treatment, the CASCS score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (91.27±6.36), and the VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (1.28±0.28). In the observation group, there were 36 cases of excellent sleep quality, 18 cases of good sleep quality, 16 cases of good sleep quality and 2 cases of poor sleep quality, while the control group had 16 cases of excellent sleep quality, 26 cases of good sleep quality, 18 cases of good sleep quality and 12 cases of poor sleep quality and the overall sleep quality of the observation group was better than that of the control group. The difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).The rate of recurrence in observation group was 6.94% in control group and 18.06% in control group. The recurrence rate in observation group was lower than that in control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of local spine massage in neck, shoulder, waist and leg pain can alleviate the pain degree, improve the main joint function, improve the quality of sleep and reduce the recurrence rate.
