Nursing Intervention Study of Press-needle Treatment in Preparation of Intestinal Tract for Colonoscopy

Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of press-needle treatment combined with oral administration of PEG in preparation of intestinal tract for colonoscopy. Methods By convenient sampling, 120 patients with constipation hospitalized for colonoscopy were divided into the two groups from October 2018 to January 2019, and they were placed in two different wards in the same department. The observation group was provided with press-needle treatment combined with oral administration of PEG in bowel preparation. The control group orally received PEG. The BBPS, defecation frequency, colonoscopy operation time, cecal intubation rate and the incidence of adverse reactions were evaluated in two groups. Results There were signi?cant differences in the intestinal tract cleaness, defecation frequency, colonoscopy operation time, cecal intubation rate and the incidence of abdominal distension and nausea in two groups after the intervention (P<0.05), but the incidence of abdominal pain, vomiting and hypoglycemia have no statistics significance (P>0.05). Conclusion Using press-needle treatment combined with oral administration of PEG for patients with colonoscopy can promote the cleaning effects, increase the frequency of defecation, shorten colonoscopy operation time, and reduce the incidence of abdominal distension and nausea after taking the PEG.
