Observation and Analysis on Clinical Effect of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine for Prevention and Treatment of Ureteral Calculi

Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the effect of the clinical pathway of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for the prevention and treatment of ureteral calculi Methods From July 2017 to December 2018, the patients, who were hospitalized in the urology department of the Second Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Jiangsu Province and met the inclusion criteria and accepted the clinical pathway of prevention and treatment of ureteral calculi by integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, were selected. Among them, 35 cases in the treatment group were treated according to the clinical pathway of prevention and treatment of ureteral calculi, and 35 cases in the control group were treated by routine treatment. The two groups were compared in clinical effect, hospitalization time, hospitalization cost, operation time, stone removal rate after operation, changes of inflammatory index before and after operation, patients’ satisfaction, disease awareness and improvement after treatment. Results The clinical effect: the treatment group (94.3%) was significantly better than the control group (80%), the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05); the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group in the total cost of hospitalization, antibiotics and drug costs (P <0.05);the treatment group was better than the control group in patients’ satisfaction and disease mastery degree(P <0.05); there was no statistical difference in perioperative complications between the two groups
