Abstract:
Objective To investigate theexpression and clinical significance of microRNA-181 (miR-181) and transcription factor prospero homeobox 1(Prox1) in breast cancer. Methods The basic information and pathological data of 80 cases of breast cancer admitted to our hospital from July 2016 to March 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. The expression of miR-181 and Prox1 in breast cancer and its adjacent tissues was quantitatively evaluated by fluorescence real-time quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR), meanwhiletheclinical significance was analyzed. Results The expression of miR-181 in breast cancer tissues was higher than that in adjacent tissues, while the expression of Prox1 was lower than that in adjacent tissues (all P < 0.05).The expressions of miR-181 and Prox1 were related to lymph node metastasis, TNM stage and differentiation degree (all P <0.05).There was a significant negative correlation between miR-181 expression and Prox1 expression (P <0.05). Conclusion The increased expression of miR-181 and the decreased expression of Prox1 in breast cancer tissues are related to lymph node metastasis, TNM stage and differentiation degree, which have potential implications for clinical evaluation of patients' conditions and also become a new direction for the development of targeted drug therapy.
