Abstract:
Objective To explore how to speed up the recovery of patients after circumferential mixed hemorrhoidectomy and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications. Methods Totally 116 patients who underwent hemorrhoidectomy because of circular mixed hemorrhoids were randomly selected. According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group with 58 patients in each group. Patients in the control group were treated with conventional Western medicine, while patients in the observation group were treated with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) Xiaohuang Jiedu Decoction sitz bath on the basis of conventional treatment in the control group. The therapeutic effect and rapid rehabilitation of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was was 96.55%, which was signi.cantly higher than that of the control group (77.59%, P<0.05). The number of patients with urinary retention (16 cases), catheter catheterization (14 cases), anal bulge (14 cases) and anal discharge (15 cases) in the control group was significantly higher than that in the observation group (6 cases, 5 cases, 5 cases and 6 cases in turn, P<0.05). The first exhaust time [(16.65±3.37) h], first defecation time [(32.68±4.97) h], wound healing time [(22.42±3.19) d] and hospitalization time [(6.82±1.12) d] in the control group were signi.cantly longer than those in the observation group [(12.43±2.79) h, (27.22±4.13) h, (14.16±2.68) d and (4.15±0.85) d in turn, P<0.05]. Conclusion Hip bath with TCM can promote the rapid recovery of patients after circumferential mixed hemorrhoidectomy, with fewer complications and shorter hospitalization time, which is worthy of promotion.
