Clinical Observation of Self-made Chengqi Decoction Combined with Acupoint Application in Treatment of Early Postoperative Inflammatory Ileus

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of self-made Chengqi Decoction Combined with acupoint application in the treatment of early postoperative inflflammatory ileus. Methods Totally 68 cases of early postoperative inflammatory ileus in our hospital were collected and randomly divided into experimental group and control group, 34 cases in each group. Two groups of patients were given conventional Western medicine treatment, the patients in control group were given self-made Chengqi Decoction treatment; the patients in experimental group were treated with acupoint sticking therapy on the basis of the control group, and two groups of patients were treated for 7 days. The clinical effificacy, gastric juice drainage, exhaust time, defecation time, hospitalization time, clinical symptom improvement, serum inflammatory factors, malondialdehyde, two amine oxidase levels and adverse reactions were compared. Results Compared with the control group, the effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (91.2%). The symptoms scores such as abdominal distention, abdominal pain, constipation, and vomiting were decreased. For example, the symptom score of abdominal distension group after treatment was (2.10±0.27), which was signifificantly lower than that of control group (3.82 ±0.41, P<0.05). Gastric juice drainage decreased in the test group [(388.02 ±40.59) mL], which was lower than that in the control group [(520.39 ±57.39) mL, P<0.05]. The exhaust time, defecation time and hospital stay were shortened, exhaust time: (2.89±0.37) d in the test group and (5.47±0.66) d in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of IL-6, TNF-α and hs-CRP in serum were lower than those in control group, and the levels of MDA and diamine oxidase in serum were lower than those in control group (P<0.05). The level of serum IL-6 in the treatment group after treatment was (33.10±3.54) ng/L, which was lower than that in the control group (87.93±9.42) ng/L. Conclusion The clinical effect of self-made Chengqi Decoction combined with acupoint application in the treatment of early postoperative inflflammatory intestinal obstruction is signifificant, and it can improve the inflflammatory response, which is a reliable treatment for early postoperative inflflammatory ileus.
