Abstract:
Objective To explore the clinical ef?cacy of ultrasound-guided polyocicol foam sclerotherapy in the treatment of recurrent varicose veins of lower extremities. Methods A total of 80 patients (80 limbs) with recurrence after varicose vein surgery of lower extremities admitted to the First Af?liated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2017 to October 2018 were enrolled in this study. They underwent ultrasound-guided foam sclerptherapy (observation group, n=40) or point stripping treatment (control group, n=40) according to random numbers. The patients were followed up for 1 month after operation, and the effects in the two groups were compared. Results The operation time, bleeding amount, operative incision numbers, hospitalization time and postoperative satisfaction score of the observation group were preferable than those of control group. Conclusion The prognosis of ultrasound-guided foam sclerptherapy for recurrence after varicose vein surgery of lower extremities is good and deserves to be applied widely.
