Abstract:
Objective To observe the clinical ef?cacy of Shenxiao Powder combined with Simiao Powder in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis. Methods Patients with acute gout were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, 42 cases in each group. The patients in control group received oral sodium bicarbonate tablets 1 g/d, 3 times daily, and loxoprofen sodium tablets 60 mg, twice daily. Oral reatment of colchicine tablets 1–3mg/d, continuously for 14 d. On the basis of the above treatment, the patients in treatment group were given Shenxiao Powder for external use, once daily for dressing change, and Simiao Powder was given orally. The local pain, joint swelling, joint activity, blood uric acid, white blood cells, neutrophils, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C-reactive protein and other ndicators were observed. Results After treatment, the symptoms of local pain in the control group were signi?cantly alleviated, with signi?cant difference compared with those before treatment (P<0.05). After treatment, the indexes of pain, swelling and joint activity in the treatment group were signi?cantly different from those before treatment (P<0.05). After treatment, the indexes of pain and swelling in the treatment group were signi?cantly different from those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, there were signi?cant differences in serum uric acid, C-reactive protein and erythrocyte sedimentation rate between the two groups (P<0.05). After treatment, there were signi?cant differences in serum uric acid and C-reactive protein between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Shenxiao Powder combined with Simiao Powder in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis can effectively improve the pain, swelling, function and other indicators of the affected area. Its clinical effect is satisfactory, and it can be promoted as a treatment in clinic.
