Abstract:
Objective To observe the clinical effect of Ningmitai Capsule and Terazosin ombined with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) in treatment of upper ureteral calculi. Methods Totally 98 patients with upper ureteral calculi with damp-heat accumulation were randomly divided into observation group (n =49) and control group (n =49), and were treated with ESWL. The patients in observation group were given Ningmitai Capsules and Terazosin Capsules, and the patients in control group were given Terazosin Capsules. The rate of stone removal, the degree of pain and the number of second ESWL cases were compared between the two groups. Results The stone removal rates of the observation group were 74.5% and 89.4% within 2 weeks and 4 weeks respectively, which were significantly higher than those of the control group (52.1% and 72.9%) (P<0.05). The secondary lithotripsy rate of the observation group was 25.5%, which was signi?cantly lower than that of the control group (47.9%, P<0.05). The visual analogue score ≥ 4 of the observation group was 68.1%, which was signi?cantly lower than that of the control group (85.4%, P<0.05). There was no statistical difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P >0.05) Conclusion Ningmitai Capsule combined with Terazosin hydrochloride after ESWL can significantly improve the stone removal rate of upper ureteral calculi, shorten the time of stone discharge, reduce the number of ESWL, and alleviate the pain of patients.
